Portland Botanical Gardens
LND LAB is partnering with Portland Botanical Gardens to establish a “living laboratory” program at the McCormick & Baxter superfund site around the focal areas of climate adaptation, community-based stewardship, and design. Beginning with a UAS survey and multi-spectral analysis of the site, LND LAB prepared detailed Existing Conditions and Botanical Inventory drawings, and generated early phasing plans of the garden and public waterfront concept. Following this initial scope, Michael transitioned to the role of “Research Director” and has supported PBG’s due diligence process through relationship building, grant development, and conceptual master planning.

The Portland Botanical Gardens was established in 2020 as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit devoted to the creation of an inclusive, community-serving and research based botanical garden for Portland, Oregon, a city renowned for its gardens, horticulture, and botanical expertise.
